Transaction Issue Report Guide

This guide is for users who have a transaction issue report in progress or are considering filing one. We'll walk you through, step by step, how a transaction issue report proceeds and how it is concluded.

Basic principles for refunds and settlements

When a transaction issue report concludes in a refund or a settlement, the following principles apply across the board.

  • Refunds are returned to the payment method you used — payments made in USDT (Coin) are refunded to your connected unifi Wallet address, while payments made by fiat (cash/card) are refunded to the original payment method (card, e-wallet).
  • Refunds and settlements are handled on an all-or-nothing basis. We do not offer partial refunds or partial settlements.
  • When a refund is processed, the amount you paid is returned in full, including fees. You bear no separate fee for the refund.

What is the nature of the transaction issue report process?

The company is not a party to transactions between users. It therefore does not judge the substantive right or wrong of a transaction problem from the position of an adjudicator. Instead, we provide a process where both parties can submit their positions and supporting evidence, check whether the submitted evidence meets the formal requirements set in the Terms (formal review), and inform you of the result.

Funds under the consensus-based asset lock are allocated in full (no partial) to one party when (1) both parties agree, or (2) there is an order from a qualified authority such as a court or investigative agency. The company only reflects that result on-chain (granting Claim authority) and does not decide the substance.

By proceeding with a transaction within the service, the buyer is deemed to have agreed that this transaction issue report process, and the transaction-related conditions set in advance by the seller, apply.

When does a transaction enter the report state?

A transaction enters the transaction issue report state in the following three cases.

① Post-delivery report The seller has marked the transaction as "delivered," but the buyer objects for reasons such as:

  • The agreed game item was not received
  • An item/quantity/option different from what was agreed was received (mis-delivery)
  • An item materially different from the agreed specification/condition was received (defect)
  • Suspected fraud or deception by the other party
  • Other reasons related to performance of the transaction

② Rejection of automatic confirmation The buyer reports a transaction issue within the 3-day (72-hour) automatic confirmation window, thereby rejecting automatic confirmation.

③ Issue raised during the "account" category settlement hold In a game item transaction in the "account" category, the buyer reports a transaction issue during the 14-day settlement hold period after purchase confirmation, for reasons discovered later (e.g., changed credentials, the former holder attempting to reclaim the account, account information mismatch).

Once in the transaction issue report state, the funds under the consensus-based asset lock remain locked, and all automatic timers are temporarily paused.

Reporting a transaction issue and the other party's response

You can report a transaction issue from the transaction management screen in the service. When you do, you submit/complete the following:

  • The reason for the transaction issue report
  • Supporting evidence (screenshots, transaction records, chat history, etc.)
  • An on-chain signature consenting to the locked funds for that transaction being held until the transaction issue is resolved

The moment this on-chain signature is completed, the transaction issue report is received and the transaction switches to the transaction issue report state.

When a transaction issue report is received, the other party is notified by in-service notification and email. The other party reviews the reported content and indicates whether they agree ([Agree]/[Disagree]) as an in-service response, without a separate on-chain signature. For smooth progress, the company suggests a recommended response window of 72 hours (3 days), but this is only a recommendation. Even if the other party disagrees or does not respond, that fact alone does not mean the reporting party's claim is upheld. In that case the transaction is kept on hold per the Processing Hold guidance below.

Formal check and processing result

The company checks whether the submitted evidence meets the formal requirements under the Terms, and does not judge the substantive right or wrong of the issue. The processing result is determined as follows.

  • If the other party agrees — It is settled by agreement as reported (full refund to the buyer or full settlement to the seller), and Claim authority is granted to the relevant party (the buyer in case of a refund, the seller in case of a settlement).
  • If they disagree or do not respond — Processing is held per the guidance below.

Partial refunds and partial settlements are not supported.

What happens when processing is held, and how is it resolved?

If both parties reach agreement, Claim authority is granted to the relevant party according to that agreement.

If agreement is not reached because the other party disagrees or does not respond, the company does not execute funds to either side, and the funds under the consensus-based asset lock remain frozen and on hold. The company does not decide a refund or settlement at its own discretion. A hold is resolved only in the following two cases.

  • The parties reach agreement again — Processed according to the agreement.
  • Either party submits an order from a qualified authority — When you submit an order from a qualified authority such as a court or investigative agency (a final judgment, a settlement/mediation decision, an enforceable instrument, an investigative agency order, etc.), the company verifies its legality and authenticity and then grants Claim authority according to the order, without a separate consent procedure.

While processing is on hold, and while any related litigation is ongoing, the funds remain frozen until one of the above resolution grounds arises.

A note on receiving funds (if a wallet is blocked or frozen)

For a USDT refund, even if a transaction issue report concludes in a refund and Claim authority is granted, funds cannot be sent to the buyer's unifi Wallet if that wallet is blocked, frozen, or blacklisted by its operator or under relevant regulation/sanctions. In that case, the company does not arbitrarily send the funds elsewhere; the funds are safely preserved under the consensus-based asset lock, and processing resumes once the block/freeze is lifted and the wallet can receive funds again. However, unifi Wallet is an external non-custodial wallet operated by a third party and is outside the company's control, so the company has no authority or means to lift a block/freeze and bears no liability for any resulting delay or impossibility. We appreciate your understanding.

The other party's personal information is not provided

The company holds only limited information about users, such as email addresses, IP access logs, and wallet addresses. It does not collect or hold personally identifying information including real names, addresses, or ID document information. Accordingly:

  • The company cannot and does not provide any user with the other user's personally identifying information, whether in connection with a transaction issue report or for any other reason.
  • If you wish to initiate civil or criminal proceedings against another user, you must obtain from a court or competent authority of the relevant jurisdiction a lawful order addressed to the company (a subpoena, court order, investigative agency's fact inquiry, etc.). Only upon receiving such a lawful order will the company provide, within the scope of the order and applicable law, only the limited information it actually holds (email address, IP access logs, wallet address, etc.).

Protective measures during a report

In addition to the fund hold under the smart contract automation contract, where a transaction issue report is in progress, or one party submits materials proving that civil or criminal proceedings against the other party have been formally initiated, the company may take the following protective measures:

  • Suspension of the transaction
  • During the period of the transaction issue report or the proceedings, restricting that user's email address or wallet address from initiating new transactions within the service

Scope of the company's role — no fiduciary duty

The company's role in connection with a transaction issue report is limited to a procedural one: receiving materials, checking the formal requirements of submitted evidence, operating the process, and reflecting on-chain (granting Claim authority) the result based on the parties' agreement or an order. The company bears no fiduciary duty, expert advisory role, or liability for the substantive accuracy of any party's submitted materials, and bears no liability for the outcome of transaction issue reports between users.
